A chiropractic adjustment refers to a chiropractor applying manipulation to the vertebrae that have abnormal movement patterns or fail to function normally.
The objective of this chiropractic treatment is to reduce the subluxation, with the goals of increasing range of motion, reducing nerve irritability and improving function.
TRIGGER POINT DRY NEEDLING
Dry needling is an effective technique Dr. Jordan uses to treat myofascial (muscular) pain with very few side effects. The technique uses a “dry” needle, one without medication or injection, inserted through the skin into areas of the muscle, known as trigger points. Dry needling is not acupuncture. Dry needling is a part of modern Western medicine principles, and supported by research.
Why Dry Needling?
Dr. Jordan use dry needling with the goal of releasing or inactivating trigger points to relieve pain or improve range of motion. Preliminary research supports that dry needling improves pain control, reduces muscle tension, and normalizes dysfunctions of the motor end plates, the sites at which nerve impulses are transmitted to muscles. This can help speed up the patient's return to active rehabilitation.
Who Can Benefit from Dry Needling?
Almost anyone experiencing a variety of pain problems including, but not limited to: Acute/Chronic injuries, Headaches, Neck/Back pain, Tendonitis, Muscle Spasms, Sciatica, Hip/Knee pain, Muscle strains, Overuse injuries
FUNCTIONAL & REHAB EXERCISES
Functional and rehab exercises utilize a plan that specifically and effectively targets the imbalanced tissues in the patient's body. Through a series of movements, known as functional screenings, Dr. Jordan is able to focus on the muscles that are causing the dysfunction and create a plan to return you to a state of balance.
We carry a wide range of supplements and will help develop a plan that's right for you. We carry multi-vitamins, prenatal care supplements, kid friendly supplements as well as oils and specialty pillows.
Myofascial release therapy is a hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.
This allows Dr. Jordan to look at each patient's unique case and perform a one-on-one treatment to help their movement, enhancement of strength, improved flexibility, and postural and movement awareness.
